What we do
We advise on, design, build and run software: web and mobile applications, the cloud systems and AI features behind them, and the work of launching and looking after them.
IT consulting
Good software starts with good decisions. Before a project and while it runs, we help you decide what to build first, choose technology that fits, keep it secure and plan what it will cost to run.
What this covers
- Technology and architecture choices
- Security and data-protection reviews
- Hosting and running-cost planning
- A second opinion on an existing system
In our own work. We make these decisions for our own products too, from the first version to every update since. See the work.
Mobile apps
We build apps for iOS and Android, each one made for its platform. They open quickly, feel familiar to use, and work with the phone’s own features, like widgets and the lock screen.
What this covers
- Apps for iPhone, iPad and Android
- Widgets, lock screen and watch apps
- Voice assistants and shortcuts
- In-app purchases and subscriptions
In our own work. Mikson Fit, FridgeApp, Rheya and AveVictra are live on the App Store. See the work.
Web applications
Web apps and dashboards for the work that happens at a desk: managing records, reviewing what happened, running an operation. We build the part in the browser and the server side that runs it.
What this covers
- Dashboards and internal tools
- Customer-facing web apps
- The server and APIs behind them
- Sign-in, accounts and roles
Backend and cloud
The part nobody sees and everybody relies on: APIs, databases, sign-in, sync between devices and server functions. Every table has access rules, so each person reaches only their own data.
What this covers
- Database design, and changes to it over time
- Sign-in and accounts
- Sync across devices and households
- Server functions
- Access rules on every table
In our own work. FridgeApp keeps one fridge in sync for a whole household. Mikson Fit and AveVictra run on cloud backends we built and look after. See the work.
AI features
AI where it saves someone time: recognising food in a photo, reading text, suggesting the next step. We send only what a feature needs, and the privacy policy says what is sent and why.
What this covers
- Photo and text recognition
- Structured suggestions
- Assistants inside a product
- A privacy note for every AI feature
In our own work. FridgeApp recognises food from a photo and suggests recipes from what needs using. Mikson Fit has AI features too. About FridgeApp.
Launch and care
Software has to go live well and then be looked after. We release it on the web and through app store review, update it for new OS and browser versions, watch for errors, fix what breaks and plan the next features with you.
What this covers
- Releases on the web and in the app stores
- Store listings and keyword work
- Updates for new OS and browser versions
- Error monitoring, fixes and small improvements
- Planning the next version
In our own work. Our own products get the same care: store review, regular updates and real answers to support emails. App support.
How we work
From the first conversation to the next version, in five steps. It’s the same process we use for our own products.
-
1 Discover
We get to know the problem, the people who have it and the limits we work within. Together we decide what the first version has to do.
You get: a clear plan for the first version
-
2 Design
We sketch the screens and how they connect, then turn them into a prototype you can tap through before any code is written.
You get: a prototype you can try
-
3 Build
We build in small steps and test each one. Every week you get a working version to try.
You get: a new working version every week
-
4 Launch
We prepare the release, take it live on the web or through store review, and help people find it.
You get: the release, ready for users
-
5 Run and improve
After launch we keep an eye on it, update it for new OS and browser versions and build what comes next.
You get: regular updates and the next version
